The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:
Original Research Articles
These manuscripts present original results derived from empirical, experimental, applied, or theoretical research, contributing new and verifiable knowledge within the relevant disciplinary field.
Studies may be based on primary or secondary data obtained through surveys, interviews, experiments, statistical analyses, case studies, modeling, fieldwork, or other recognized scientific methods.
Length: 3000 to 6500 words.
Mandatory structure: Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and References.
Literature Review Articles
These correspond to critical and interpretative analyses of relevant scientific literature on a specific topic within the journal’s scope.
Manuscripts must clearly describe the consulted sources and provide an analytical and integrative discussion of major theoretical, methodological, and conceptual contributions.
Length: 3500 to 7500 words.
Suggested structure: Abstract, Introduction, Thematic Development, Discussion, Conclusions, and References.
Systematic Review Articles
These consist of a rigorous and methodologically structured synthesis of available scientific literature addressing a clearly defined research question, aimed at integrating evidence, identifying knowledge gaps, and generating meaningful contributions.
Manuscripts must apply the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) methodology and explicitly describe:
– Databases consulted
– Search strategies employed
– Inclusion and exclusion criteria
– Data analysis and synthesis procedures
The inclusion of a PRISMA flow diagram is mandatory.
Length: 3500 to 5500 words.
Mandatory structure: Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and References.
Essay Articles
These are reflective, critical, and argumentative academic works in which the author develops a theoretical or interpretative position on contemporary issues relevant to the journal’s multidisciplinary scope.
Although they do not present empirical findings or systematic reviews, they must be grounded in relevant scholarly literature and demonstrate conceptual rigor, coherence, and originality.
Length: 2500 to 6500 words.
Suggested structure: Abstract, Introduction, Argumentative Development, Discussion, Conclusions, and References.
Editorial Process and Peer Review
All submitted manuscripts undergo a preliminary editorial screening to assess alignment with the journal’s scope, language quality, internal coherence, compliance with formal requirements, ethical standards, and similarity analysis.
Manuscripts that pass this stage are evaluated by external academic peers under a double-blind review system, ensuring confidentiality of both authors and reviewers.
Editorial decisions may include: acceptance, acceptance with minor or major revisions, resubmission for further review, or rejection.
Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
Authors are required to use the official journal template in Word (DOCX) format available on the editorial platform.
Required documentation:
– Manuscript in DOC or DOCX format
– Authorship contribution statement
– Declaration of originality
– Informed consent, when applicable
Previously published manuscripts or submissions under simultaneous consideration by other journals will not be accepted.
Manuscript Formatting
The manuscript must be submitted in DOCX format using Arial font. The main title must be formatted in 12-point font size. The body text of the article must be written in 11-point font size, with 1.5 line spacing and justified alignment.
The abstract must be presented in 11-point font size with single line spacing. References must also be formatted in 11-point font size with single line spacing.
Abstract and Keywords
The abstract must be clear, concise, and self-contained, including the study’s objective, general methodology, principal findings, and main conclusions. All abbreviations must be defined at first mention.
Authors must provide three to five specific keywords that enhance indexing and academic visibility, avoiding overly general terms.
Article Structure
Manuscripts must be organized into clearly identified sections with concise and hierarchically structured headings, in accordance with the official journal template.
Citation and Reference Style
Star of Sciences Multidisciplinary Journal follows a multidisciplinary editorial approach. Therefore, citation style must correspond to the disciplinary field of the manuscript.
APA Style (7th edition) applies to manuscripts in social sciences, education, humanities, communication studies, and related areas. In-text citations must include author surname and year of publication, and all cited references must appear in the reference list.
Vancouver Style applies to manuscripts in health sciences, medicine, biomedicine, and related disciplines. References must be numbered consecutively according to their order of appearance in the text, following the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Each manuscript must use only one citation style consistently throughout the document. Mixing citation styles is not permitted.
Figures and Tables
Figures and tables must be consecutively numbered, include clear and descriptive titles, and indicate the source when applicable.
Revisions and Final Version
When a manuscript is returned for revision, authors must submit a response-to-reviewers document detailing the comments received, the modifications made, and the justification for any changes or clarifications provided.
