Author Guidelines

PUBLICATION GUIDELINES

Authors interested in submitting to Nexus Científico Multidisciplinary Journal en Ingeniería y Tecnología must send their manuscripts to cientificonexus@gmail.com or through the journal’s online submission system. Only unpublished manuscripts not under simultaneous review elsewhere will be considered.

The journal accepts manuscripts in both Spanish and English, provided that at least one of the authors is a native speaker or the text has been professionally translated.

Manuscript Format and Structure

Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx), using Garamond 12-point font, 1.15 line spacing, and A4 paper size.

Manuscript Structure

  • Length: between 11 and 20 pages (approximately 3500 to 8000 words).

  • Title: in both Spanish and English, not exceeding 15 words.

  • Author information: include email address, ORCID iD (e.g., https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2237-7613), and institutional affiliation.

  • Abstract: in both languages, with a maximum of 240 words.

  • Keywords: three to five keywords in Spanish and English, separated by commas.

  • Body of the manuscript:

    • For research articles: Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions.

    • For other article types: Development and Conclusions.

Additional Guidelines

  • Pagination: all pages must be numbered at the center bottom.

  • Tables and figures: must be numbered in the order they appear. Titles should be placed above. Figures must be submitted in .jpg or .png format, with a maximum width of 10 cm and a file size not exceeding 100 KB.

  • Footnotes: should be numbered with Arabic numerals and limited to 60 words.

  • Appendices: must be referenced in the text and placed at the end of the manuscript.

Citations and References

References must follow the APA 7th edition style. Authors are responsible for ensuring accuracy. A minimum of 15 references is required, preferably from the last five years, giving priority to sources indexed in Scopus or SciELO. References should appear in alphabetical order with a hanging indent at the end of the manuscript.

Examples:

  • Book: Lastname, A. A. (Year). Title of the book. Publisher.

  • Journal article: Lastname, A. A. (Year). Title of the article. Journal Name, volume(issue), xx–xx.

Plagiarism Policy

The editorial team uses advanced plagiarism detection software to verify the originality of submissions.

Privacy Statement

Names and email addresses submitted to the journal will be used exclusively for editorial purposes and will not be shared with third parties.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Original Research Articles

This section publishes original research articles derived from scientific and technological investigations. Manuscripts must present verifiable results, clearly described methodology, well-supported analysis, and conclusions based on empirical or experimental evidence. Contributions should significantly advance knowledge in the fields of engineering, technology, and related disciplines. All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure scientific quality, originality, and compliance with international ethical standards.

Original Research Articles

This section publishes original research articles derived from scientific and technological investigations. Manuscripts must present relevant findings, a clearly described methodology, well-supported analysis, and significant contributions to the fields of engineering, technology, and related disciplines. All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and compliance with international ethical standards.
