PEER REVIEW POLICY

Nexus Científico Multidisciplinary Journal en Ingeniería y Tecnología follows a rigorous and transparent peer review process to ensure the academic quality, originality, and relevance of all published manuscripts. The journal employs a double-blind review system, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to promote impartial evaluation.

Phase 1: Initial Editorial Screening
After submission, the editorial team conducts a preliminary evaluation within 72 hours. Authors are notified via email and receive a unique reference number. During this phase, the Editor-in-Chief or assigned editor assesses whether the manuscript aligns with the journal's scope, demonstrates originality, and is clearly written.
Manuscripts may be rejected at this stage due to structural deficiencies, unclear results, or signs of plagiarism. In doubtful cases, the Editorial Board may be consulted for further assessment.

Phase 2: Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two subject experts who review them anonymously. Reviewers assess the manuscript based on the following criteria:

  • Clarity and logical consistency of writing.

The Academic Editor oversees the evaluation process to ensure rigorous quality control. Reviewers must submit their reports within 8 days of receiving the manuscript. Reviewer identities remain confidential unless voluntarily disclosed. Generally, each manuscript is reviewed by at least two experts, with additional reviewers assigned if deemed necessary by the editor.

Final Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' assessments and the Academic Editor’s judgment, the final decision may be:

  • Acceptance without changes.

  • Acceptance with minor revisions.

  • Major revisions and resubmission required.

  • Rejection.
