Editorial Endogamy Policy

Nexus Científico Multidisciplinary Journal en Ingeniería y Tecnología (NCMJIT) establishes an active policy for the prevention of editorial inbreeding, in accordance with international best practices in scientific publishing and the ethical principles promoted by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). This policy aims to preserve editorial independence, promote academic diversity and ensure the transparency and credibility of the publication process.

In order to avoid institutional concentration in authorship, the participation of members of the editorial team, scientific committees or the publishing institution may not exceed 25% of the total number of articles published, considering the two most recent issues or the last editorial year, as applicable. This criterion seeks to guarantee institutional plurality and balance in academic representation.

In the event that members of the editorial team or academic bodies submit manuscripts for evaluation, these manuscripts will be subject to the same double-blind peer review process as any other submission. The editorial management of such works will be assigned to external editors or to members of the team who have no direct relationship with the authors, avoiding any conflict of interest. Authors who are part of the editorial structure will not participate in any stage of decision-making or evaluation of their own manuscripts.

Likewise, the selection of reviewers will prioritize institutional, geographical and disciplinary diversity, with the aim of strengthening the objectivity, methodological rigor and scientific quality of the evaluations.

Through the application of this policy, Nexus Científico Multidisciplinary Journal en Ingeniería y Tecnología reaffirms its commitment to editorial ethics, transparency in academic management, plurality of scientific perspectives and excellence in the publication of multidisciplinary research in engineering, technology and applied sciences.
