Perspectivas sobre la Tecnología Aplicada a la Educación en América Latina: Evaluación Crítica de Enfoques y Recursos

La Tecnología Educativa (TE) en América Latina constituye un ámbito en constante evolución, caracterizado por su complejidad y multidimensionalidad, condicionado tanto por los avances conceptuales y tecnológicos como por las políticas públicas y las demandas sociales emergentes. Antes de la pandemia de la COVID-19, la TE era concebida principalmente como un medio de apoyo para optimizar los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje. No obstante, la crisis sanitaria evidenció de manera contundente las desigualdades digitales existentes, afectando de forma particular a las poblaciones en situación de vulnerabilidad y subrayando la urgencia de fortalecer las competencias digitales de docentes y estudiantes. En la actualidad, la TE debe entenderse más allá del uso instrumental de recursos tecnológicos, considerándose una estrategia pedagógica orientada a generar aprendizajes significativos, favorecer la equidad digital y promover la innovación en los contextos educativos. Su adecuada implementación demanda un enfoque interdisciplinario, crítico y un compromiso institucional sólido para garantizar mejoras sustanciales en la calidad educativa de la región. Sin embargo, persisten obstáculos relevantes, como la brecha digital y la resistencia al cambio de parte del profesorado, que limitan la consolidación de la TE, especialmente en zonas rurales y contextos marginados donde los recursos son escasos.
