Educación Superior y Transformación Digital en Tiempos de Crisis Sanitaria: Impactos en la Administración Académica y el Rendimiento Educativo

El proceso de digitalización en la educación superior ecuatoriana, particularmente en instituciones con restricciones económicas como la Universidad Luis Vargas Torres, constituyó un reto de gran envergadura durante la emergencia sanitaria provocada por el COVID-19. La coyuntura obligó tanto a docentes como a estudiantes a una transición acelerada hacia el uso de recursos tecnológicos y estrategias pedagógicas activas con el propósito de garantizar la continuidad académica. Este escenario evidenció las limitaciones estructurales del modelo educativo tradicional y puso de manifiesto la necesidad urgente de replantear los parámetros de calidad en entornos virtuales de aprendizaje. No obstante, la experiencia también propició la generación de prácticas innovadoras, el fortalecimiento del compromiso institucional y la formulación de políticas orientadas a consolidar una educación digital caracterizada por la equidad, la sostenibilidad y la pertinencia social.
