Abstract

In today's educational landscape, there is a growing interest in addressing the needs of students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), who face significant challenges in maintaining focus and self-regulating their behavior. This disorder, characterized by persistent inattention and hyperactivity, impacts both academic performance and personal development. In response to this issue, gamification has emerged as an innovative strategy with great potential. The objective of this research is to analyze how gamification enhances attention in students with ADHD. A mixed-methods approach was employed, beginning with a pre-test to establish a baseline measurement of students’ attention levels in response to a non-gamified stimulus. Based on the analysis of these initial findings, tailored gamification strategies were designed and implemented to support students’ ability to concentrate during the learning process. Finally, a post-test was conducted to assess the effectiveness of the intervention. The study results revealed a significant improvement in students’ attention following the implementation of gamification strategies, demonstrating increased engagement and persistence in academic tasks within the classroom.
