Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as an innovative tool in the educational field, especially in inclusive education, by enabling the adaptation of educational materials and the personalization of learning for students with special educational needs (SEN). This study aims to analyze how AI has been implemented in educational institutions, evaluating its impact on academic performance, accessibility, and participation of students with SEN. A qualitative approach was used, with a descriptive and exploratory methodology based on literature review and interviews with teachers. The results indicate that AI significantly improves access to educational content, enhances student autonomy, and promotes a more equitable education. However, important challenges were also identified, such as insufficient teacher training and limited technological infrastructure, which hinder the effective implementation of these technologies. The study concludes that, while AI offers great potential, its successful integration depends on continuous teacher training and policies that ensure equitable access to technological tools.
