Abstract

This study explores an innovative teaching experience through art pedagogy within the framework of the IDDEA project (Research on the Didactic Development of Expression and Art). A total of 26 undergraduate pedagogy students participated in the creation of audiovisual educational materials aimed at promoting coeducation and fostering values of respect and equality. Inspired by the artwork of painter Ángeles Romo, they developed seven educational capsules using the Cut-Out animation technique. The results show that future educators perceive art as an effective didactic tool and express their intention to incorporate it into their professional practice. Meanwhile, the participating instructors highlight the significant pedagogical potential of art in higher education, particularly through the implementation of art pedagogy. The study concludes that this experience has contributed to achieving the intended curricular objectives.
