Abstract

This research, supported by the Guayaquil State University, aims to place emerging discourses in contemporary drawing in context, analyzing the milestones and approaches that, since the 20th century, have challenged the limitations of the traditional paradigm, especially the idea of drawing as a finished object. A new interpretation of drawing is proposed as a dynamic, embodied, and enactive process, highlighting its kinetic and performative nature. From this perspective, drawing is understood not only as an artistic practice but also as a method of empirical research that facilitates the exploration of the relationship between abstract processes and corporeality. To this end, an analytical-comparative methodology is proposed with a transdisciplinary approach that combines graphic thought and cognitive sciences, allowing us to address contemporary textuality, characterized by its plurality, constant transformation, and circulation of ideas. Within this framework, the study seeks to create a shared space of meaning to address the concept of disegno within the emerging context of the posthumanities, opening up new possibilities for debate and promoting reflection on the connections between digital and analog paradigms in contemporary graphic creation.
